A factory audit is evidence about a defined site, scope and point in time. It can inform supplier review, but the name of an audit programme alone does not answer whether a proposed production arrangement meets a buyer's requirements.

1. Which organisation and site does the record cover?

Match the legal entity, factory address and relevant activities to the proposed production plan. Check whether another site or subcontractor is involved. A sourcing company coordinating an order should identify which records belong to its production partners rather than presenting them as its own certifications.

2. What was assessed, and when?

Read the scope and assessment date. Social, environmental, quality and product-certification programmes address different questions. Clarify which assessment the buyer requires, what the available record covers and whether a follow-up is needed.

Where the programme offers a verification service or member platform, use the official process to verify the record. A cropped logo or an undated certificate image is a weak basis for an approval decision.

3. What findings and corrective actions remain?

Review the findings, proposed corrective actions, responsible parties and completion evidence. An overall label can conceal details that matter to a buyer. Agree what must be resolved before the programme can proceed and which evidence will demonstrate closure.

Keep the audit review separate from product-specific testing. A social-compliance assessment does not establish a garment's chemical, flammability or dimensional performance.

4. Does the evidence fit this order?

Compare the proposed materials, processes, site and destination with the buyer's compliance manual. Changes after approval may require another review. Record how the sourcing team will report substitutions or additional processing locations before they are used.

5. Who owns the approval decision?

Identify the buyer's approver and the information required for that decision. Keep a dated record of what was checked, which version was reviewed and any conditions attached to the approval. Do not replace a buyer-specific approval process with a general marketing claim.

Our compliance service coordinates requirements and document review, while ضمان الجودة addresses programme inspection checkpoints. Send your buyer manual and destination with a sourcing enquiry.
